Hotel The Point Kiyomizugojo

Great little unmanned hotel in Kyoto. Great location in a quiet neighbourhood, within walking distance to the subway as well as some good local eats. Also walking distance to shrines/temples.

Very good location to many popular tourist spots.station and bust stop are nearby.

the room is a bit smaller than I imagined from the picture.towels are provided only one set to a person, but I was afraid that they don’t dry during the autumn time, especially a big bath towels, so I couldn’t wash them.

Location and quiet

Kitchen equipment is very poor.Freezer over frozen with ice.Nobody cleaned it out even after we reported it ? Not much space to put anything into..The safe box is just sitting loose in the room, so anyone can just walk out with it?

The room was fantastic. Very clean and spacious with everything you need. The location is excellent with public transportation very close. We chose to walk most places as the area is very safe and walkable.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel.. :) The room was clean, cozy, and had all the basic amenities I needed..The location is also excellent, with easy access to nearby attractions and transport.

Everything was awesome! Very clean and spacious! My feedback will be to improve the quality of the pillows. Other than that everything was great!

It felt like home, living in my own apartment.They have amenities you can get at the front desk, collecting the key was easy, the staffs are helpful (even though they're not there but you can message them and they will reply shortly), the place is clean and has everything you need for a long stay. Unlike the other comments I seen, the place is actually pretty clean and everything is so easy to use.

Soundproof sometimes isn't great but it's not loud to the point you can't sleep or might disturb you in anyway unless you are a REALLY LIGHT sleeper.But for me everything was good.

The location is very accessible to Kyoto's famous tourist spots.

They could have put some area where customers can put their changing clothes inside the toilet. Also we saw mosquitos during our stay. I suggest they can provide mosquito nets for windows.

Nice position in the city, in a calm neighborhood and 30mn by walk in the center. Big room, almost erything was old but functional. Let's say that it match the price.

No staff at all.We can hear the next room like if we were together.The kitchens tools were bad (old and scratchy, cannot cook even an egg in the pan and not even enough cup for every guests).The cleaning was not really good when we arrived.

Basic accommodation in a great location + good price.

For what you pay, there is little to complain about. I found a used glass of water on the floor and a used tissue under the bed. These did not negatively affect my stay though. I would have liked an extra bath towel.

The size of the twin room, the room design of each en-suite, the facilities of the kitchen and the bathroom, the location of the hotel.

Location, Space

Somebody left there underwear at the room and they didn't clean it. You can guess how clean it was at the room if the stuff didn't even notice someone's underwear. We were living at 1 floor so it was pretty noisy (can hear the cars outside).

The room was quite comfy and spacious. Amenities readily available as expected for a japanese hotel. Although the lack of staff present was a bit out of the usual for us, we were able to check in and out easily.

A bit far from the train station while carrying heavy luggage.

The room was quite spacious considering you are in Japan. We were able to open up all our suitcases and still manage to have extra space to move within the room. The location was in a quiet neighborhood and there was a nearby shrine you could visit especially first thing in the morning which was a bonus! Amenities were provided and a washing machine is definitely a plus when you're staying for a couple of days.

No staff at the location, but instructions of how to get in and out were clear. The room wasn't spotless in terms of cleanliness.

Very large room, with kitchenette including a washing machine. Two good breakfast places in easy walking distance. Good location.

Once you are, it is unclear how to get clean towels (I guess my fault, should probably have arranged during the booking proces). At times there is staf near entrance, but no interaction with them at all.

The location is close to the underground railway and if you are mid trip there is washing facility’s. But we were very underwhelmed with the accommodation.

Beds are very uncomfortable, small pillows - we appreciate you are exploring and out and about most of the day but you do want to come back to some comfort There were a number of long hairs around the room - small bins which quickly filled up. No washing up facility’s if you are wanting to self cater and no utensils We were wanting to send our luggage and were told to arrange to another pick up. This caused us a lot of inconvenience to then find during our stay someone had sent their bags to the property they were in a small area near the locked door for around 24 hours The entrance needs a refresh - wall paper coming off and dirt present always smelt of cigarette smoke

The location was excellent, unfortunately this was just about the only good thing about the experience.

The aircon unit was full of black mold which meant we couldn't use it as I have bad asthma. There was also pink mold in the corners of the bathroom. We messaged to ask for extra pillows and were told that they would be unable to fulfill this request as the property is managed remotely. I understood at the time but after thinking about it later, I was confused as to why they wouldn't be able to communicate with the team that work at accommodation. We needed clean towels during our stay but after not being able to get extra pillows, didn't bother to ask for more towels so ended up having to wash the ones in the room ourselves. Not how we thought we would be spending part of our honeymoon!Also we had issues trying to check in with the machine. It didn't work but the person we called for assistance was super helpful, friendly and spoke great English.
